Event Date:
Thursday, May 9, 2024 - 7:00pm

Join the New Boston Historical Society at the New Boston Community Church as they host Bill McAuley, curator of the Francestown Heritage Museum.  Bill will tell the story of the Second New Hampshire Turnpike, which was built around 1800 and ran in a straight line from Amherst to Claremont.  The toll road crossed the southwest corner of New Boston and charged a penny per mile for every 10 sheep or hogs!

Refreshments will be served afterwards in the Historical Society museum across the street.
